Name and region

The CACHAT OCQUIDANT LADOIX VIEILLES VIGNES Rouge is classified under the LADOIX VIEILLES VIGNES appellation, which is a communal appellation in the Bourgogne wine region, located in the department of Côte-d’Or.

Color and grape variety

Intense ruby red in color, this wine is made from the Pinot Noir grape variety, an emblematic grape of Bourgogne.

Production

The CACHAT OCQUIDANT LADOIX VIEILLES VIGNES Rouge is produced from old vines, over 50 years old, which give high-quality grapes concentrated in aromas.

The Cachat-Ocquidant estate, renowned for its expertise in winemaking, uses traditional methods to produce this wine. After manual harvesting, the grapes are sorted and destemmed before being fermented in tanks for about 15 days. Then, the wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of 12 months to give it woody and vanilla notes.

Tasting

The CACHAT OCQUIDANT LADOIX VIEILLES VIGNES Rouge offers aromas of red fruits and cherries, as well as spicy notes of cinnamon and pepper on the nose. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure, with fine tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of red fruits and spices.

Food pairings

This wine pairs perfectly with grilled or sauced red meats, as well as poultry or game dishes. It also accompanies soft or bloomy rind cheeses.
