Mission Haut Brion Red 2006 A Grand Crus From Pessac Leognan Rouge

Description of Mission Haut-Brion wine

The red wine Mission Haut-Brion is produced by the Château La Mission Haut-Brion vineyard. This controlled designation of origin comes from the wine region of Pessac-Léognan, located in the department of Gironde in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Winemakers in this region benefit from a temperate oceanic climate that allows them to produce fine and elegant wines.

The grapes used to make Mission Haut-Brion wine are noble grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. They are harvested by hand and carefully sorted before being fermented in wooden vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 18 months to give it a velvety texture and subtle aromas.

Mission Haut-Brion wine has an alcohol of 12.8%, which gives it great aromatic complexity and a long shelf life.

On the palate, it is dense and deep with fine tannins that give it great elegance. The finish is fresh and pleasant with a note of vanilla and toasted bread due to the oak barrel aging.
