The story of Jean-Luc Thunevin, creator of Château Valandraud

Jean-Luc Thunevin has forged his reputation in the wine world thanks to his passion for wine. He is best known for creating Château Valandraud, a wine that quickly gained great renown. In less than ten years, this "garage" wine became a 1st classified growth of Saint-Emilion. It was after tasting Le Pin that Jean-Luc Thunevin decided to create an exceptional wine. Thanks to his determination, he succeeded in realizing his dream with the first vintage of Château Valandraud in 1991.

    Concentrated micro-cuvées produced with care

In addition to Château Valandraud, Jean-Luc Thunevin is also behind many other micro-cuvées. These wines are produced with strict standards for the care given to the vines, which allows for concentrated and high-quality grapes. The low yields also guarantee a better concentration of aromas. The grapes are carefully harvested at optimal maturity to obtain high-quality raw materials.
