The success story of Jean-Luc Thunevin

Jean-Luc Thunevin is a wine enthusiast who managed to elevate his "garage wine", Château Valandraud, to the rank of 1st grand cru classé of Saint-Emilion in 2012. It was during a tasting of Le Pin that the idea of creating an exceptional wine sprouted in his mind. With determination and perseverance, he realized his wish with the first vintage of Château Valandraud in 1991. Today, he is also behind many other garage wines, including Clos Badon Thunevin.

Concentrated micro-cuvées

Clos Badon Thunevin is produced from low yields and stringent standards for vine care. Grapes are harvested at optimal maturity to obtain optimal concentration. The micro-cuvées all stem from this quality requirement. This method allows for the creation of a fresh, voluminous, ripe and exceptional quality wine.
