Château Thivin Brouilly “Reverdon” Red 2020 A Selection Sommelier From Brouilly

Appellation et région

The CHÂTEAU THIVIN BROUILLY “REVERDON” ROUGE is a red wine from the Beaujolais region, specifically from the BROUILLY “REVERDON” appellation. This appellation is located in the southern part of the Beaujolais vineyard, on granitic and clay-limestone soils, offering higher quality wines.

The CHÂTEAU THIVIN BROUILLY “REVERDON” ROUGE is a blend of Gamay noir à jus blanc grapes, grown on the slopes of Mont Brouilly. Its intense red color is characteristic of the grape variety used. It is distinguished by its fruity aromas of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, as well as spicy and floral notes. In the mouth, it offers a beautiful freshness and a perfect balance between acidity and soft tannins. Its finish is long and pleasant.

This character wine is ideal to accompany red meats, sauced dishes, and refined cheeses. It can be tasted now, but can also be stored in the cellar for a few years for later tasting.

Located on the slopes of Mont Brouilly, in the Beaujolais region, the CHÂTEAU THIVIN is a family-owned vineyard that has been producing quality wines since 1877. The Geoffray family has always been committed to respecting traditions and the terroir, which is reflected in the quality of their wines. The vineyard covers 37 hectares, including 6 hectares of Brouilly “REVERDON”.

The CHÂTEAU THIVIN BROUILLY “REVERDON” ROUGE is one of the flagship vintages of the estate. It is the result of the expertise and know-how of the Geoffray family, who are committed to producing quality wines that respect the environment and tradition.
